Sayville, NY MAY 31 2008
5Js returned to Mountain speedway this week.
After a few short practices the car had a
bad push. We made some changes for the heat
race which took Joseph from 9th to 4th place
but the car was still not right. More
adjustments were made to the car for a 50
lap feature. Starting 9th we were looking
for a good finish. After about 10 laps
the car started to go away again on Joe so
he had to change his line a bit which slowed
his lap times. Dealing with a bad
handling car we were able to come away with
a 10th place finish, not to bad for the
first time back this year. The team
would like to thank Andy Lotto for
his help at the track this week. It was very
nice to have an extra set of hands. Our
next race will be back at Mountain speedway
on June 14th then again possible on June
21st. We will also be making the trip to
Thompson CT for the pass north race on July
12th.
Sayville, NY May 3 2008.
The 5js team made the long haul down
to Hickory in April. Overcoming many issues
with the new engine in the car and then
braking an axle and backing the car into the
wall in practice sat morning ended our
chance of qualifying.
At this time the team will be
looking to run a few races this year at
Mountain speedway in PA once again. With the
ever rising cost of fuel and lack of enough
sponsorship we need to stay a little closer
to home. Stay tuned for updates, our first
race back will be May 31st.

The 5js are ready to get racing. The Late
Model is ready to go. The 1st race will be
The Easter Bunny 150 at Hickory Motor
speedway NC the 21st of March. We will
try to qualify once again for a PASS south
race hopefully we will have better luck this

The new engine is done and has been
installed in the car with a host of new
parts to go along with it. 5J's first outing
this year will be with the 35 Late Model at
the Changing Times Pub the 17th for the
Daytona party once again this year. It
is looking like the first race of the year
will be at Hickory Motor speedway the 22nd
of March for the PASS Easter Bunny 150.
Sayville, NY January 23, 2008.. We
now have control of our site and will try to
keep it updated. The team is rebuilding for
next year. When we were in Concord in
November a few thinks broke on the car. We
will be giving the car a new power plant for
2008, body will remain the same for this
year. Johnny will get a few races in in the
legacy car this year also. As for a
schedule we do not have one set yet. We are
looking at the PASS 4 race series and a few
races in the north, but right now we are
unsure of how many races we will be able to
afford to run
